BC COPS FOR CANCER ART EVENT

Joe and I had the privilege of attending the release of the 2nd print in a series of 3 that Andy Everson has created for Cops for Cancer. The evening was a first class event that showcased the dedication of both Andy and Cops for Cancer to raise awareness and money in the fight against cancer.

The 100 plus guests in attendance were treated to a video that highlighted the amazing journey for the Ironcops and then the release of the newest outstanding original limited edition print "Footprints".

Please note that one of the Original Limited Edition Print "Footprints" has been generously donated to Outback Events by Michael Carson of Vancouver BC. We are having the print framed and it will be auctioned off at the Athlete's meeting at the Oliver Half Iron. All proceeds will be donated to BC Ironcops for Cancer. Any questions please contact Joe or Sarah at outback@outbackevents.ca.

Andy and his family then entertained us with the chanting and drumming to accompany the sacred dance performed by his brother. (as seen below). He helped us to understand why he started this series and what each print personally meant to him.

Guests enjoyed a great selection of wines generously provided by Rosemount Estates and other light refreshments as provided by the BC Ironcops Team. We also then had the surprise and privilege of being entertained by Riley Inge (formerly appearing on stage with the Temptations). We all sang along to such classics as "My Girl" and "Papa Was a Rolling Stone".

As you can see here Joe was very excited to take a picture with Natasha, being that she is part of the New Westminster Police Department as Joe was born and raised in New Westminster.

In the end, over 1/3 of the limited edition prints were spoken for and it is expected that  it will sell out by the end of August when Ironman Canada takes place.

A huge thank you to Karen and Murray for inviting us to attend this incredible event.
